Yaamava’ Resort & Casino at San Manuel Offers $300 Free Play Incentive During Hot Dog Eating Contest
The Yaamava’ Resort & Casino at San Manuel is enticing its guests with a chance to win $300 in free play during a hot dog eating contest. To qualify for the incentive, participants must consume a 22-inch Mega Dog within 15 minutes on August 11. The contest is limited to a 10-minute period following the start of the challenge. This unique promotion requires players to be hungry for more than just gaming excitement.
Known as one of the top Native American-owned casinos in the US, Yaamava’ Resort & Casino at San Manuel offers a wide array of entertainment options. With over 7,200 slot machines and 150 table games, players can enjoy an extensive gaming selection. The resort also features a 17-story hotel, more than a dozen full-service restaurants, a retail shopping center, and the Yaamava’ Theater.
Located in Highland, Calif., approximately 70 miles east of Los Angeles, this tribal casino stands out with its diverse amenities and exceptional offerings. One of its standout restaurant concepts is The 909, an ultimate sports bar and food hall. The restaurant offers four distinct options – JBQ, Get It Grill, Thai Chi 2, and Pizza Mayhem. With craft beer and cocktails on the menu, The 909 introduces the Mega Dog, a 22-inch 3,000-calorie hot dog.
Guests craving a challenging culinary experience can participate in the Mega Dog eating contest on August 11. Those who finish the hot dog, topped with cheddar cheese, BBQ sauce, pickled jalapenos, red onions, green jalapeno sauce, and white sauce within 15 minutes will win $300 in casino credit. The entry fee for this contest is $25, but winners will have their fee waived.
Professional competitive eater Matt Stonie will be present at the event to support the participants. Winners who successfully complete the Mega Dog challenge will have their photo displayed in the Mega Dog Hall of Fame and receive a complimentary T-shirt as a token of their achievement.
Stonie, famous for defeating Joey Chestnut in the 2015 Nathan’s Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest, advises participants to eat what they like first before facing the Mega Dog challenge. He shares his expertise by saying, “I think that will help you mentally get into the rhythm of things and enjoy and destroy the hot dog.”
Stonie told the San Bernardino Sun, “I think that will help you mentally get into the rhythm of things, and enjoy and destroy the hotdog.”
Apart from the upcoming contest on August 11, The 909 will continue to offer the Mega Dog challenge throughout the year exclusively to members of the Club Serrano loyalty program at Yaamava’ Resort & Casino at San Manuel. The cost per attempt will increase to $30, and participants will have a reduced time limit of 10 minutes. Winners of the contest will receive the same perks of $300 in free play, a T-shirt, and entry into the Mega Dog Hall of Fame.
