With the upcoming 2023 college football season just around the corner, Fanatics Sportsbook arrives at the perfect time for sports bettors. The app also coincides with the start of the NFL campaign on September 7th, catering to the high demand for football wagering. Furthermore, the states of Maryland, Massachusetts, Ohio, and Tennessee boast NFL teams and well-supported college football squads, making them ideal markets for this new app.

“The Fanatics Sportsbook makes being a fan easy with fast signup, easy betting, transparent withdrawals, an industry-leading search functionality and a curated Discover page with the sports and bets that matter most to a customer,” according to a statement issued by the Florida-based company. “Sports fans can find live scores, plus lines and odds for their favorite teams and athletes. Fanatics Sportsbook features everything from moneyline bets, to spread bets, over-unders, player props, live in-game betting markets, and the always popular Same Game Parlays (SGPs).”

Fanatics Sportsbook introduces Same Game Parlays (SGPs), a popular feature among novice bettors looking for big wins. This exciting feature has already been leveraged by industry rivals such as FanDuel and DraftKings, enhancing their profitability.

Expansion Plans and PointsBet Acquisition

Fanatics Betting & Gaming had previously expressed its ambition to launch mobile sports wagering apps in at least twelve states, potentially extending to fifteen, before the 2023 NFL season began. The company seems to be on track after the successful rollout in the four targeted states.

In addition to its app launch, Fanatics Betting & Gaming shared an update regarding its $225 million acquisition of PointsBet US. This strategic acquisition, which is expected to be finalized this month, plays a vital role in expanding Fanatics’ presence in the sports betting market across multiple states.

“With Fanatics Betting and Gaming’s recent acquisition of the U.S. businesses of PointsBet and its proprietary Banach Technology, the Fanatics Sportsbook will integrate the best parts of the PointsBet tech platform to supercharge its sports betting engine,” according to a company statement. “The Fanatics Sportsbook will also leverage PointsBet’s quantitative driven trading models from Banach Technology in its new state-of-the-art risk and trading platform.”

PointsBet’s acquisition includes Banach Technology, an Irish company specializing in cutting-edge technology for live betting and SGPs. This acquisition has significantly enhanced Fanatics’ position in the sports betting industry.

Fanatics Rewards Program

Although Fanatics does not operate land-based casinos, it aims to capitalize on related loyalty programs through its apparel business. The FanCash loyalty offering allows bettors to earn rewards based on their betting activities.

Through the FanCash program, bettors can earn 1% FanCash on straight bets, 3% on traditional parlays, and 5% on SGPs. FanCash can be converted into Bonus Bets or used to purchase team merchandise on Fanatics.com, creating a unique and rewarding experience for customers.

No information regarding a connection between FanCash and Fanatics’ collectibles business, including the highly regarded Topps brand, was provided in the press release.
