Hard Rock Bet to Launch Golf Microbetting Lines at LIV Golf Chicago Tournament
Hard Rock Bet, owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, is set to introduce golf microbetting lines at LIV Golf Chicago, held at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Il.
Operating in multiple states and soon to launch in Florida, Hard Rock Bet aims to enhance the betting experience for its customers during golf events. Partnering with Simplebet, a leading microbetting provider, Hard Rock Bet will offer in-round betting options such as wagering on a player’s score on the next hole, drive accuracy, and hitting the green in regulation.
Starting from the LIV Golf Chicago tournament, which begins on September 22, Hard Rock Bet’s platform will enable bettors to engage in in-round microbetting, providing exciting opportunities for increased fan participation and generating higher revenue for sportsbooks.
After LIV Golf Chicago, the tour heads to Saudi Arabia for the season finale on October 13-15. It then returns to the US for the Golf Team Championship at Trump National Doral Golf Club in Miami on October 20-22, combining stroke and match play to determine the LIV Golf team champion.
Engagement and Growth with Microbetting
Microbetting is expected to benefit LIV Golf, increasing fan engagement and television ratings, while also driving higher revenue for sportsbooks. Simplebet, in partnership with LIV Golf, has developed a proprietary automated betting platform to facilitate real-time odds and bet acceptance.
Simplebet CEO Chris Bevilacqua is thrilled with the partnership, stating that it provides engaging opportunities for LIV Golf fans to interact with the sport and showcases the hard work put in by the Simplebet team.
The current betting front-runner for LIV Golf Chicago is Cameron Smith at 8/1 odds, followed by Bryson DeChambeau (10/1) and Dustin Johnson and Patrick Reed (14/1). Brooks Koepka, Talor Gooch, Mito Pereira, and Joaquin Niemann are all at 16/1.
Microbetting Market Expansion
In the microbetting space, both Simplebet and upstart Betr have successfully partnered with leading online sportsbook operators to expand their betting offerings. However, responsible gaming advocates express concerns about the potential increase in addiction rates associated with microbetting.
Keith Whyte, executive director of the National Council on Problem Gambling, warns that microbetting’s quick pace and frequent rewards could increase the risk of problematic behavior and negative consequences.
