BetMGM Partners with Chris Rock for UK Marketing

BetMGM has enlisted the help of comedian and actor Chris Rock to promote their platform in the United Kingdom. The partnership will see Rock serving as the BetMGM ambassador across England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, and Ireland.

With Jamie Foxx currently unavailable due to health reasons, Rock has stepped in to fill the role. Both actors bring their star power to major sportsbook and iGaming operators in the US, with Foxx representing BetMGM and now Rock joining him as a face of the brand.

BetMGM, a joint venture between MGM Resorts International and Entain, launched its iCasino and online sportsbook in the UK in August as part of its global expansion strategy.

Rock Takes the UK by Storm

As the BetMGM ambassador, Rock will be featured in a comprehensive marketing campaign that includes TV commercials, billboards, and social media promotions. In the initial ad, Rock is seen cruising from the Bellagio Fountains to London’s Thames River and the Tower Bridge in a gold speedboat with the MGM lion logo.

“We’re here in the UK to make every game an occasion,” Rock proclaims in the commercial.

The advertisement also includes responsible gaming messages, in line with regulations from the UK Gambling Commission. As part of the Responsible Gambling Code, the ad features a reference to BeGambleAware.org and an “18+” mark.

“With tools that help you play safe, get ready for the golden era in sports and casino,” Rock declares. “BetMGM. It’s showtime.”





Rock now joins Kevin Hart as the face of a major US-based sportsbook and iGaming operator. Hart has been the key figure in DraftKings’ marketing campaigns for years, while Rock brings his own brand of humor and charm to BetMGM.

Meanwhile, Caesars Sportsbook features actor and comedian JB Smoove in their advertisements, while FanDuel has opted for a diverse lineup of influencer partners, including sports stars Jordan Spieth, Rob Gronkowski, and Charles Barkley.

Promotion for the UK Launch

To celebrate the launch of BetMGM UK, the platform is running a free-to-play Premier League challenge called “Golden Goals.” Players have the opportunity to predict the scores of six Premier League matches each week for a chance to win £2 million. If no one correctly predicts all six scores, the players with the most correct predictions will share a £2,000 prize.

Entry into the Golden Goals game is free and does not require any deposits, wagers, or withdrawals.
