A Caesars Palace Las Vegas visitor recently encountered a shocking incident when two women stole $120,000 in cash and a luxury Rolex watch from him. This unfortunate event occurred in his hotel room after he had won a jackpot at the casino.

The man initially met the two women on the gaming floor of the property. Subsequently, they accompanied him to his room, where they engaged in sexual activity before he fell asleep.

Upon waking up a few hours later, the man couldn’t recall most of the night’s events, presumably due to excessive alcohol consumption.

However, thanks to surveillance video footage, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) managed to piece together a significant portion of what transpired that night.

Jackpot Victory

Prior to the incident, the man had been playing blackjack with his colleagues on the gaming floor. After several hours of gameplay, he emerged as a $120,000 winner.

Curiously, he opted to receive the winnings in cash instead of a casino-issued check.

It was during this time that he encountered the two women. LVMPD officers reviewed the surveillance footage, which revealed the women entering and leaving the man’s room. Notably, both individuals had unique tattoos, aiding in their identification.

Police also located the cars driven by the women, ultimately leading to their arrest and subsequent charges.

Although it remains uncertain whether the cash and the Rolex watch were ever recovered, authorities estimated the value of the stolen timepiece to be $20,000.

The man had traveled to Las Vegas for a convention.

Despite the victim’s limited recollection of the incident, LVMPD officers categorized the crime as a “trick rolling” case, as reported by Las Vegas TV station KLAS. This type of crime occurs when sex workers steal money or valuable belongings from their clients post-intercourse.

The suspects in question have been identified as Coriana Singelton, 29, and Marriah Vanderwaal, 32. They both face charges of grand larceny, burglary, and conspiracy.

Once in custody, the duo was booked at the Clark County Detention Center. As of Wednesday morning, neither individual had been released. Local prosecutors have assumed jurisdiction over their cases.

Additionally, it has come to light that Singleton had previously been arrested by local law enforcement for other offenses, according to the LVMPD.

Previous Trick Rolling Incident

Similar incidents involving trick rolling have been reported at various Las Vegas resorts in the past.

For example, just last month, Jaydn Nicole Edwards, 23, was apprehended for committing a theft at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on September 9, 2021.

Edwards allegedly stole $25,000 in cash and a Rolex watch worth $30,000 from a hotel guest.

She is facing charges of theft, conspiracy to commit theft, and violating probation.

A second woman, identified as Quansae Rutlegde, was also implicated in the incident at The Cosmopolitan, according to KLAS. Rutlegde has been charged with theft and conspiracy to commit theft.

Both individuals currently have ongoing criminal cases in local courts.
