The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) has released new surveillance footage of an incident at the Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa in Summerlin, Nevada. The incident involved an attempted robbery and shooting.
The footage shows two male suspects browsing products in a store near the casino.
Suspect Descriptions
One of the suspects was wearing a black football-style jersey with the number 83 and a white hat. The other suspect was dressed in a black baseball cap, a shirt, and grey shorts. Both suspects were wearing sneakers.
After leaving the store, the suspects followed the victim, who was walking on a street. The suspect in the football jersey got out of a car and attempted to rob the victim, ultimately shooting him in the jaw.
The victim received initial treatment at the scene and was then taken to University Medical Center. His injuries were not considered life-threatening.
The suspects fled the scene in a black Chevrolet Camaro. The car has not been located by the police.
No other individuals were harmed during the incident.
The LVMPD was notified about the robbery and shooting at 8:02 p.m. on Wednesday.
Dangerous Suspects
The suspects involved in the incident are considered armed and dangerous. Members of the public who spot them are advised to exercise caution and immediately contact local police. Anyone with information about the suspects should also report it to the authorities.
Currently, the suspects’ identities have not been released, and it’s unknown if the victim’s name is known to the authorities. The LVMPD Summerlin Area Command is leading the investigation into the shooting and robbery.
If apprehended and convicted, the suspects could face severe penalties, including lengthy prison sentences for charges such as attempted robbery, attempted murder, and conspiracy. It’s unclear if the victim or the suspects had been inside the casino before the incident occurred.
