In a surprising twist during the trial of Duane “Keffe D” Davis for the murder of Tupac Shakur, new evidence regarding the unsolved murder of Christopher “Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace may be uncovered. Retired Las Vegas Metro Police detective Clifford Mugg testified before a Clark County grand jury, stating that the theory linking both murders was accurate and that investigators from Las Vegas and Los Angeles were in agreement. Noted author Cathy Scott, who extensively researched both cases, claims that the connection between the murders lies with Suge Knight, the head of Death Row Records. According to Scott, Knight, a member of the Bloods gang, was the intended target in Shakur’s murder, while Wallace’s murder was ordered by Knight himself from prison out of jealousy. Scott suggests that the LAPD has been reluctant to solve Wallace’s murder as it may implicate their own officers. Despite no arrests made in the Wallace case, Scott believes that the renewed focus on the Tupac trial may lead to new evidence and ultimately put an end to the speculation surrounding both murders.
