The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas is investing $188 million to renovate its convention center. Renowned Las Vegas design firm Woogmaster Studio has been awarded the contract for the renovation, following their successful renovation of the resort’s pool bar.

The major renovations to the Venetian Expo and Convention Center, previously known as Sands Expo, will include the addition of cutting-edge technology, the introduction of lounge-style meeting spaces, and a new stylish color scheme featuring cream, white, and platinum.

“Embarking on a refresh of a convention center that hosts events year after year is a challenging endeavor, but our commitment is to deliver an unparalleled experience to our guests,” stated Patrick Nichols, the president and CEO of Venetian.

The new lounges, designed exclusively for invitation-only events, will showcase a modern interpretation of the Venetian design from the 1930s, incorporating elements such as wood, marble, and velvet, as stated in the press release.

The complex will see the installation of new Murano glass chandeliers, sleek brass sconces, and state-of-the-art digital screens for audio-visual enhancements.

“The chosen finishes and amenities were carefully selected based on feedback from our customers. They will introduce a new era of Venetian Meetings while maintaining our leading position in the industry,” remarked Nichols.

The renovation project is expected to be completed in stages between 2024 and 2026.

This renovation is part of a $1 billion capital investment plan by Vici Properties, the owner of the Venetian Resort, and Apollo Global Management, a New York-based operator.
