In a groundbreaking move, Hard Rock International plans to construct the Hard Rock Genting Highlands hotel in Malaysia, aiming to redefine luxury hospitality in Asia. Slated to open in 2027, this flagship property will offer guests a world-class experience, complete with over 1,000 rooms and suites.
This upcoming addition to the Hard Rock portfolio will be the largest venue of its kind in Asia. This ambitious project will captivate guests with various amenities, including a heated swimming pool, state-of-the-art spa, and an array of dining options and bars.
High Hopes for Malaysia
Hard Rock Genting Highlands is set to become a haven for relaxation and entertainment. With the Rock Shop, a retail space spanning 200 square meters, guests can indulge in exclusive Hard Rock merchandise, adding to the immersive luxury experience.
This venture marks the third collaboration between Hard Rock International and Malaysia, showcasing the country’s growing prominence in the hospitality and entertainment industry.
The Hard Rock Genting Highlands project boasts a budget of MYR10 billion (US$2.1 billion), reflecting its grand vision. The development aims to create an immersive experience for visitors through the integration of theme parks, hotels, retail areas, and more.
With 61 hectares of land, King’s Park Genting Highlands will be Malaysia’s pioneering business district with an integrated entertainment hub. The absence of casinos aligns with Malaysia’s legal framework while promoting a family-friendly and inclusive atmosphere.
Although the Hard Rock Genting Highlands hotel does not include a casino, gamblers can still enjoy their preferred form of entertainment at Resorts World Genting, located nearby.
