October 17, 2023 was a day to remember in Las Vegas as R&B icon Usher received the key to the city. Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman praised Usher, known for his smooth tunes and worldwide album sales, during a ceremony at Las Vegas City Hall. Usher expressed his gratitude and acknowledged his commitment not only to entertainment but also to the heartbeat of the city.

Usher, who currently resides in Las Vegas, is set to conclude his “My Way” residency at the Park MGM in December after a successful run of nearly two years. He previously performed at Caesars Palace for a year. The multi-talented artist has also been announced as the headliner for next year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas Strip Not Part of the City

Interestingly, although Usher received the key to the city of Las Vegas, the Park MGM, where he is performing, is not actually located within the city. This is a surprising fact that many tourists are unaware of, yet it does not detract from the excitement surrounding Usher’s residency and ongoing success.
