Rivers Philadelphia Expansion Plans
Rush Street Gaming, the parent company of Rivers Casino Philadelphia, has announced plans to partner with a group renovating the former Delaware River Generating System power plant. The project, called The Battery, will include a hotel with 62 luxury rooms for Rivers Casino guests. The casino is conveniently located near The Battery along the Delaware River Trail.
The Battery is being redeveloped by real estate firm Lubert-Adler and will offer residential apartments, coworking space, an events facility, and luxury hotel accommodations.
While Rivers Casino Philadelphia currently does not have on-site lodging, this partnership will provide guests with a nearby luxury hotel option.
Penn Treaty Park, known for the historical peace treaty signing between William Penn and the Lenni-Lenape tribe in 1683, is also part of the Delaware River Trail walk.
In addition to the hotel project, Ira Lubert, one of Lubert-Adler’s founders, has submitted an application to open a Bally’s casino near Penn State University.
