Hampton Inn Las Vegas/Summerlin and Palms Casino Resort may face legal repercussions for failing to stop sexual activity involving a 16-year-old girl. The complaint suggests that staff at the hotel were aware of the situation and did nothing to intervene.
The case, covered by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, describes how the girl, under the pseudonym Sarah, was coerced for sexual activities at the Hampton Inn and later taken to the Palms for a “photoshoot” that turned into requests to act in a pornographic film. The victims managed to escape, and the incident was reported to the hotel’s security office by one of the girls’ mothers.
Legal proceedings are likely to follow, with the lawsuit seeking unspecified damages. Additionally, the legal representatives of the plaintiff are reaching out to ensure that laws against human trafficking are faithfully carried out.
The lawsuit has been filed against the owners of both hotels, the Palms and the Hilton brand, along with the alleged trafficker, and current and former owners of the Palms Casino Resort.
Comments from the named parties are pending.
