According to a Joint Cybersecurity Advisory from the FBI and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), critical infrastructure organizations are urged to enhance the security of their IT systems to protect against these threats.

Scattered Spider is known for engaging in data extortion through social engineering, using techniques such as phishing and subscriber identity module swap attacks. The cybercriminal group has already taken credit for targeting MGM Resorts and Caesars Entertainment, causing significant disruptions and financial losses for the companies.
