According to federal court documents, Michael McClernon is facing charges for knowingly and willfully communicating a threat to injure another using a telephone.

Prosecutors argue that he made a telephone call to the casino and revealed his identity while delivering the threat to a police sergeant.

Hiding in Plain Sight

Disregarding his ban from the casino, McClernon was found staying at the RV park and was subsequently arrested on November 30.

The FBI is involved in the investigation, and McClernon could face up to five years in prison if convicted.

Casino Threats

Threats involving casinos are treated with the utmost seriousness by prosecutors, regardless of whether they turn out to be hoaxes or made in jest.
