The lawsuit, filed in a California state court on Thursday by a woman using the pseudonym “Jane Doe,” alleges that the incidents, including a rape allegedly committed by Brooks during a work trip, all took place in 2019.

Brooks’ representatives have not yet responded to requests for comment. CNN, the first to report on the story, stated that the singer vehemently denied the accusations in a preemptive complaint filed in Mississippi under the name “John Doe.”

According to the woman’s lawsuit, she began working for Brooks in 2017 after working for his wife, fellow country singer Trisha Yearwood, for 18 years.

In addition to sexual assault and battery, the lawsuit accuses Brooks of repeatedly exposing his genitals and buttocks, sharing sexual fantasies, changing his clothes in front of her, and sending sexually explicit texts.

One alleged incident involved Brooks walking out of the shower nude, grabbing her hands and forcing them onto his genitals, as claimed in the woman’s lawsuit.

The alleged rape occurred in a hotel room during a work trip to LA, according to the lawsuit.

Shortly after the lawsuit was filed, Brooks will perform at his ongoing “Plus One” residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, which runs until March 9.
