Buehler, who decided not to travel with the team for their final regular season games, attended the races on September 28 alongside his wife, McKenzie Buehler, according to Excel Baseball, his agency.

Being a fan of horse racing and a part-owner of the 2020 Kentucky Derby winner Authentic, Buehler was unknowingly robbed while walking to his seats with his wife at the event.

Despite the theft, Buehler and his wife were unharmed, with the agency stating, “We are grateful Walker and McKenzie were not harmed, and Walker is focused on the playoffs.”

Thieves’ Tactics

Police in Arcadia confirmed three grand theft incidents during the September 28 races. In one instance, a victim was surrounded by a group of suspects who managed to steal the victim’s watch without being noticed.

Although the victim realized the theft, the suspects disappeared quickly into the crowd, making it difficult to identify them.

Arrest Made

In another incident, another victim realized their watch was missing hours after the theft occurred. The victim, believed to be Buehler based on the events described, eventually reported the incident to authorities.

The third incident involved three suspects attempting to steal a victim’s watch, but the victim noticed and alerted security. This led to the arrest of Camilo Nino-Hernandez, 24, from Los Angeles, who now faces charges of felony grand theft and possessing a fake Social Security card.
