The most recent survey of Nevada voters shows Vice President Kamala Harris leading former President Donald Trump slightly with just a few weeks left before the presidential election.
Harris captured the support of 48.1% of respondents according to the recent poll results. Trump closely followed with 47.3% backing him.
Additionally, .9% indicated they do not support any of the candidates. Another 2.7% are undecided.
The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.2%, making the race too close to predict.
Regarding gender differences in Nevada, men favored Trump by 52% to 43%, while women supported Harris by 53% to 43%, as per the survey findings.
Economy Is Most Important Issue
The survey also inquired about the most significant concerns for Nevada voters. The top issue at 36.4% was the economy. Affordable housing followed at 15%, immigration at 12.5%, threats to democracy at 10.8%, education at 7.9%, access to abortion at 6.3%, health care at 5%, and crime at 3.4%.
Approximately 900 likely voters participated in the poll conducted earlier this month.
The tight competition between Trump and Harris positions Nevada as the “second-closest race among the seven swing states,” reported Las Vegas TV station KLAS.
In Michigan, the poll results were even tighter. Harris marginally outperformed Trump in that state with 49.2% to 49.0%.
However, Trump leads Harris in five swing states: Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
Swing states are considered crucial in determining the election outcome, according to many political analysts.
With the race still evenly matched and less than four weeks remaining, the outcome in key swing states remains uncertain, all falling within the margin of error,” said Spencer Kimball, executive director of Emerson College Polling, in a statement.
The poll was conducted by Emerson College, KLAS, and The Hill.
