The Harris-Walz campaign has secured the largest ad spot in the 2024 presidential race on the iconic Sphere in Las Vegas. The Exosphere at The Sphere will showcase the campaign’s political message leading up to Election Day.
While some may view this as taking sides, the Sphere is ultimately driven by financial considerations. The cost for a week-long campaign on the massive digital screen was revealed to be $650,000 back in September 2023, showing the premium price for such exposure.
The ad, set to Beyonce’s “Freedom,” carries powerful messages such as “Vote For Opportunity,” “When We Vote, We Win,” and “Vote For A New Way Forward,” culminating in visuals of Kamala Harris and the campaign name “Harris-Walz.”
The video of the ad is available on TMZ.
Despite Nevada being a key swing state, the impact of the ad on the Sphere goes beyond state lines, reaching a global audience, particularly engaging Gen-Zers through platforms like TikTok. The Sphere attracts visitors from all over the world, making it a powerful tool for political messaging.
This isn’t Harris’ first encounter with the Sphere, as she and her husband attended a U2 concert there earlier in 2024.
Ad Infinitum
Since its launch in July 2023, the Exosphere has evolved from a ad-free space to becoming a prime location for paid advertisements. Despite its initial appeal without ads, financial sustainability has driven the Sphere to open its doors to commercial campaigns, including the NFL Sunday Ticket launch.
As a result, the Sphere is now open to various advertisers looking to capitalize on its massive reach.
