Leading up to the 2024 election, Dr. Miriam Adelson, a strong supporter of Donald Trump and one of his top donors, expressed her reasons for endorsing the Republican candidate.
As the widow of Sheldon Adelson, the late founder of the Sands empire, Dr. Adelson, who inherited the Las Vegas Review-Journal, shared a personal story about Trump interacting with special-needs musicians from Israel.
Dr. Adelson commended Trump for his genuine interaction with the musicians, contrasting it with media portrayals of him in a positive light.
She highlighted that Trump’s actions during that moment left a lasting impression on her as a truthful depiction of his character.
Supporting Trump
Dr. Adelson, ranking as the eighth richest woman globally, has financially backed Trump’s presidential campaigns with significant contributions totaling over $300 million.
In addition to supporting Trump, the Adelson family has also made substantial financial contributions to congressional races and Republican super PACs.
In response to comments made by Mark Cuban, Dr. Adelson emphasized her support for Trump as a proud female professional and military veteran.
She declared her vote for Trump and expressed her belief that he is the right candidate for the job.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal, which is owned by the Adelson family, also endorsed Trump for the upcoming election, continuing their tradition of supporting Republican candidates.
Dr. Adelson also has control over the Israel Hayom newspaper in Israel.
