A female suspect was taken into custody on Saturday for assaulting two Pennsylvania state troopers, a casino employee, and a bystander at the Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, according to authorities.
Kaleigh McManus, aged 33 and from New Haven, Conn., was eventually caught and charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, simple assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct.
She was held at the Washington County jail, as reported by Pennsylvania TV station WHTM. Upon posting a $2K bond, she was released from custody. The case was then handed over to local prosecutors.
Authorities stated that the incident unfolded when McManus entered a restricted area at the Washington, Pa. gaming venue and, when approached by a casino staff member, allegedly struck the employee in the face.
A bystander witnessed the assault and intervened, only to be struck twice in the face by McManus.
Subsequently, McManus attempted to flee the casino through an emergency exit but was halted by security guards.
Two state troopers intervened to arrest her, but she lashed out at them, leading to her eventual arrest. Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported.
