FanDuel Celebrates the Holiday Season with Complimentary Tolls and Train Tickets

FanDuel is organizing a day of complimentary highway tolls and public transportation fares later this month.

FanDuel, known for its retail and online sports betting as well as iGaming operations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, has announced that on December 18, the company will cover rides on the Port Authority Trans-Hudson (PATH) train connecting New Jersey’s Newark and Hoboken to New York City.

The same day, free rides on the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority’s (SEPTA) Broad Street “B” Line will also be covered by FanDuel. Furthermore, FanDuel will pay for tolls for motorists passing through the Pleasantville Toll Plaza on the Atlantic City Expressway.

Daniele Phillips, FanDuel’s vice president of marketing, mentioned, “This exciting opportunity by FanDuel Casino demonstrates our ongoing commitment to the brand and engaging customers with exciting experiences. We aim to show people the thrill of winning on FanDuel Casino, while also providing other great experiences like free rides and tolls.”

The FanDuel promotion will be available all day on December 18 on the Atlantic City Expressway, from 8 pm to 11 pm for PATH rides, and from 6 pm to midnight along the B Line. Participation is open to all rides and drivers, regardless of being FanDuel customers.

Holiday Giving

FanDuel’s gesture of providing free fares and tolls on December 18 comes just a week before Christmas.

This generous act of paying for train rides and highway tolls serves as an early gift during the busy holiday season, with FanDuel hoping to attract new customers through the promotion.

FanDuel Casino in New Jersey generated approximately $408.6 million in gross gaming revenue during the first 10 months of 2024. The iGaming operations in New Jersey are operated in partnership with Golden Nugget Atlantic City.

FanDuel’s gross gaming revenue of $408.6 million ranks second, with DraftKings leading at $421.5 million. DraftKings holds a license through Resorts.

In New Jersey, FanDuel operates a retail sportsbook at the Meadowlands Racetrack and an online platform through a partnership. FanDuel’s sports revenue for the first 10 months of the year was nearly $380.3 million, with DraftKings following at $237.7 million.

In Pennsylvania, FanDuel’s online casino operations run through Live! Casino Philadelphia and Valley Forge Casino Resort (Stardust Casino), generating gross revenue of $522.5 million in the 2023-24 fiscal year ending on June 30, 2024.

In New York, the largest sports betting state, FanDuel’s online sportsbook recorded a win of $635.9 million between April and November, leading in the state.

December 18 Savings

How much can you save on December 18 with the FanDuel deal?

Passing through the Pleasantville Toll Plaza on the Atlantic City Expressway costs $1.40 for automobiles. The toll increases to $2.55 for dual-tire vehicles, $3.55 for three axles, and $4.70 for four axles.

PATH fares start at $2.75, and rides on SEPTA’s B Line begin at $2.50.
