Country star Jason Aldean commemorated the grand opening of his fourth restaurant and honky-tonk during the kickoff night of the National Finals Rodeo on Thursday.
Aldean officially opened the establishment by cutting the ribbon, performing three songs, and offering shots of tequila and whiskey to his enthusiastic VIP crowd.
“This is incredible,” he expressed from the stage. “I began my career performing in bars, so owning my own bar here in Las Vegas, right on the Strip, is a dream come true.”
Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Bar can be found at 63 CityCenter, just across the Strip and a brief 10-minute stroll south from Blake Shelton‘s remarkably similar Ole Red, which has been quite successful so far.
Operated by TC Restaurant Group, Aldean’s establishment offers Southern-inspired cuisine such as Grandma’s Pot Roast and Mama Aldean’s Peach Cobbler.
Shelton’s restaurant does not feature these specific dishes.
Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Bar is open daily at 10 a.m. and stays open late on Thursday through Saturday. For more information, visit jasonaldeansbar.com/las-vegas.
Pardon Our In-N-Outburst
In-N-Out unveiled a rendering on Thursday of its forthcoming second location on the Strip. As previously reported in October, it will be situated in an 8,000 square foot space at The BLVD., located at 3755 S. Las Vegas Blvd.
This will mark the largest In-N-Out ever constructed, because we understand that size is secretly important to some individuals.
What surprises us is the resemblance between the official rendering and the one we requested Google’s Gemini AI to create for our initial story. Despite clearly indicating it was AI-generated, it garnered hundreds of thousands of views from dishonest social media users who misrepresented it as official.
Dining Ins & Outs
Yes, it’s a bit peculiar, but that’s the actual title of this section highlighting events that didn’t quite make it into the first two stories but were too significant to overlook entirely (sorry, In-N-Out).
Gjelina, a popular establishment in New York and LA, is set to open on December 26 at restaurant row in The Venetian, as per the resort’s website. Founded in 2008 in chef/owner Fran Camaj‘s Venice Beach apartment and named after her mother, this seafood-focused eatery is making its way to Las Vegas.
The final day of operation for Señor Frog’s in Las Vegas is scheduled for December 31. This information was first reported by Vital Vegas, which also revealed the closure of the Mexican chain’s 23,000 square foot space at Treasure Island, facing the pirates, a location it has occupied since 2012.
Villa Azur, a French-Mediterranean restaurant in the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian, will be closing its doors on December 7. According to Vital Vegas again, it is rumored that the space will be taken over by Boa Steakhouse, which previously operated at the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace from 2005 to 2020 and has outlets in West Hollywood, Santa Monica, and Austin, Texas.
Swig Drinks from Utah, home of the original Dirty Soda, will soon be opening two locations in Las Vegas at 1160 E Silverado Ranch Blvd, Suite 100, and 7120 S Rainbow Blvd.
