An employee was injured and a gaming property building was damaged after a Honda CR-V was driven into a New Hampshire casino on Monday night.

The employee, described as a 47-year-old woman, did not suffer serious injuries but was taken to a local hospital for treatment, as reported by Manchester TV station WMUR. She was not identified by local police.

The gaming property, Manchester, N.H.’s Revo Casino and Social House, which includes a DraftKings sportsbook, opened on Tuesday despite the crash.

Due to the accident, the vehicle became stuck in a wall of an employee breakroom, the report added. Other employees in the room at the time were unharmed.

The damaged areas of the building were boarded up on Monday morning. No repair estimate was provided by local authorities.

Police were notified about the incident around 11:30 p.m. on Monday.

Driver Arrested

Following a police investigation, the driver of the Honda, Louis Rosario Rodriguez, 41, was charged with aggravated DUI. His case will be handed over to local prosecutors.

Police also disclosed that Rodriguez sustained a cut near his left eye, according to New England regional news site NESN. It was not mentioned if he required medical treatment at a hospital. His injuries were not believed to be serious.

Police stated that the crash occurred suddenly.

All of a sudden, the car came barreling through,” Manchester Police Department spokeswoman Heather Hamel later told WMUR. “Fortunately, there were no serious injuries. There was one employee that was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Other than that, no one else was harmed.”

As of Tuesday morning, police had not detailed what happened before the crash occurred.

The driver appeared to be intoxicated after the accident, according to police. However, Rodriguez was able to exit his vehicle on his own.

No immediate estimate was provided for repairing the damages to the Honda.

Revo Casino and Social House was established in August when several existing gaming properties rebranded.

Previously, the sites included Filotimo casinos in Manchester and Dover, Wonder Casino in Keene, and Lebanon Poker Room & Casino in Lebanon. They are owned by the New Hampshire Group (NHG).
