DraftKings has once again shared insights on sports betting trends in Ontario for 2024.

Unsurprisingly, Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce emerged as the most bet NFL player, followed by Saquon Barkley of the Philadelphia Eagles and Christian McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers.

Matthews Takes the Lead

Auston Matthews and William Nylander of the Toronto Maple Leafs were the top choices among NHL players, with Edmonton Oilers’ captain Connor McDavid following closely. Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks was the most bet NBA player, with Denver Nuggets’ Nikola Jokic and Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves also attracting bets.

Ohtani Leads the Way

Shohei Ohtani of the L.A. Dodgers was the most popular MLB player for bets, ahead of Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. of the Toronto Blue Jays. Ohtani is the favored candidate at DraftKings to win the National League MVP in the upcoming season, with odds set at +200.

The Super Bowl champion Chiefs were the top choice for NFL bets, with the Buffalo Bills and the San Francisco 49ers following closely.

Maple Leafs Dominate NHL Bets

The NBA betting trends favored the Dallas Mavericks, followed by the Timberwolves and the Boston Celtics, the reigning NBA champions.

The Dodgers, led by Ohtani, were the most popular MLB team for bets in Ontario, with the Yankees and Blue Jays close behind.

Despite their drought in championships, the Maple Leafs were the most bet NHL team, with the Oilers and the reigning champions Florida Panthers following suit.
