The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas has officially appointed Kevin Glass as its new general manager. Previously serving as the assistant GM, this promotion comes in a press announcement from the Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation, owners of the property since acquiring it for $650 million from Red Rock Resorts in December 2021.

In his new capacity, Glass will manage all operations at both Palms Casino Resort and the adjacent Palms Place condo-hotel.

“Not only does Kevin bring a wealth of experience, but he also brings genuine passion to this role,” commented Latisha Prieto, chair of the San Manuel Gaming and Hospitality Authority, in a formal statement.

In 2023, Glass was honored as “Hotelier of the Year” by the Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association. His hospitality career began in 1997 at the Monte Carlo Resort & Casino (now Park MGM), where he advanced to hotel operations supervisor prior to joining the Palms in 2001 as the revenue, reservations, and leisure sales manager.

“Kevin has been part of our journey since the very beginning of our ownership of the Palms,” Prieto noted. “His commitment to the team, guest satisfaction, and our tribal culture makes him the perfect leader for both Palms and Palms Place.”

After leaving the Palms in 2005, Glass held senior positions at several other Las Vegas establishments, including:

  • Red Rock Resort and Green Valley Ranch (2006–2009)
  • The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas (2010–2013)
  • SLS Las Vegas (2014–2015, currently known as Sahara Las Vegas)
  • Downtown Grand (2016-2021)

“Having been involved with the Palms from its inception and again during this exciting new phase with the San Manuel Gaming and Hospitality Authority, I have witnessed the commitment and enthusiasm of our team firsthand,” said Glass in his announcement. “I’m eager to lead with that same energy as we create memorable experiences for our guests and cultivate a workplace that our team is proud of.”

In June 2025, the Palms announced a split from former GM Stephan Thayer, who served for less than a year after leaving The Strat. The reasons behind his departure were not disclosed to the public. He had taken over from Cynthia Kiser Murphey, who resigned in June 2024 after nearly three years of overseeing the resort.
