Do you recall the “medical intervention” prescribed to vocalist Vince Neil by his healthcare provider? This was the reason Mötley Crüe had to delay the start of their Park MGM residency from March until tonight. According to Neil, this procedure was related to his recovery from a stroke he experienced the day after Christmas last year.

“The entirety of my left side went numb,” revealed the 64-year-old musician in an interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal, published on Friday. “I had to re-learn how to walk, and that was quite a challenge. Doctors doubted I would ever perform again, but I told them, ‘No, I’m going to make it happen. Just wait and see.’”
Neil maintained that he never lost his ability to sing; he only struggled with mobility.
“I transitioned from being carried to the restroom… to being in a wheelchair,” he recounted. “Then, I moved on to using a walker, followed by a cane. Eventually, I didn’t need any assistance. But it was like a full-time job to return to feeling good again.”
Neil asserts he is now speaking out as he’s recently returned to jogging and feels “90 to 95 percent back to my previous self.”
However, during his comeback solo concert in Bethel, New York on August 3, attendees voiced concerns regarding his condition, his mobility issues, and his need to read his own lyrics.
“This truly breaks my heart,” one follower commented on Instagram. “There’s something more happening with him now; you can see it in his eyes, as if there’s some neurological issue.”
The renowned ’80s glam-metal band will commence their third Las Vegas residency with 10 performances from this evening until October 2 at Dolby Live, Park MGM. Tickets remain available.
