The Sick New World (SNW) nu metal festival, initially set to feature Metallica and Linkin Park at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on April 12, has been canceled due to disappointing ticket sales.

So, is it feasible to hold two SNW festivals in 2026? That’s the plan from Live Nation.

By December 2024, Live Nation had reportedly sold only 20,000 out of the 60,000 tickets needed to fulfill the $5 million guarantee promised to its famous co-headliners. Ticket prices starting at $472 for general admission deterred many potential attendees.
Live Nation noted these challenges as “unforeseen circumstances that we cannot navigate.”
Recently, signs have emerged around Las Vegas, confirming that SNW will make its return on April 25, 2026, alongside an additional festival in Fort Worth on October 24, 2026.
The official SNW website invites fans to register for updates, though there are no hints yet about the lineup. However, Casino.org has learned that System of a Down, which performed at the festival in both 2023 and 2024, will be featured again.
Reportedly, their booking did not cost Live Nation the $5 million initially allocated.
