According to the Press of Atlantic City, Caesars Atlantic City has submitted a proposal to revise its beach lease with Atlantic City, allowing the resort to establish and manage a beach bar. The City Council approved Resolution 103 to update Beach Lease Lot 25 during a recent meeting.

“Caesars intends to modify the use of Beach Lot 25 to include a beach bar according to the lease’s provisions, necessitating adjustments to the current lease to facilitate construction, amend operation hours, and modify rent, subject to approval by the [NJ Department of Community Affairs], aligning it with existing beach bars,” states the resolution.

Centrally situated on the Atlantic City Boardwalk, Caesars is positioned just north of Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall.

Beach Attractions

With over three miles of pristine shoreline, Atlantic City experiences its peak tourist season during summer, with packed resorts and bustling beaches.

For beachgoers looking to enjoy a beverage in the sun, Atlantic City regulations stipulate that drinks must be secured from a licensed venue “in or adjacent to the open container zone.” Beverages must be contained in open, plastic receptacles branded with the name and/or logo of the vendor.

Presently, options for bars on Atlantic City beaches are scant. The LandShark Bar & Grill at Resorts stands as the sole drinking establishment on the beach. The Bungalow Beach Bar is another option. Previously, Hard Rock managed a beach bar, but sand erosion disrupted its operation. This summer, Caesars is set to enter the beach bar scene.

“The City Council believes that this initiative will enhance Atlantic City as a key tourist hub and wishes to amend the lease for Beach Lot 25 to allow Caesars to build and operate a beach bar,” the resolution elaborates.

Caesars Atlantic City is in need of some new attractions to draw visitors.

In 2025, Caesars recorded $203.8 million in in-person gaming revenue, ranking it sixth among the nine casinos. The casino holds only a 7% share of the Atlantic City gaming market.

In the most recent quarter of 2025, Caesars Atlantic City reported a gross operational profit of $32.7 million. This figure represents earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, amortization, affiliate charges, and other miscellaneous expenses.

Rooms at Caesars Atlantic City

Throughout the first three quarters of 2025, the 1,136 hotel rooms at Caesars Atlantic City saw occupancy rates of 79.7%. This marks a decrease from the 83.5% occupancy in 2024 and is notably below the 89.5% occupancy seen in 2019.

Despite this, Caesars has managed to boost its average nightly rates, climbing from $140 in 2019 to $184 last year.
