- Initial discussions are taking place regarding a 6,000-seat Sphere venue in Nashville, according to reports
- The proposed design is similar to a recently announced project at Maryland’s National Harbor
- This potential initiative showcases the increasing entertainment collaboration between Nashville and Las Vegas
Sphere Entertainment is in early discussions with Nashville business leaders about establishing a Sphere-branded venue in Tennessee, as reported by Axios.

Anonymous sources familiar with the discussions have indicated that the talks are “very initial” and involve Nashville executives who are suitable partners for such a venture.
The idea currently under consideration is not a complete replica of the 20,000-seat Las Vegas Sphere but rather a smaller, 6,000-seat venue akin to the one Sphere Entertainment plans to construct at National Harbor in Maryland. That upcoming project — announced in January 2026 — will mark the company’s second U.S. venue and will utilize the smaller design, supported by approximately $200 million from a mix of state, local, and private funding.
Sphere executives have not publicly addressed the Nashville discussions, adhering to their practice of maintaining silence until a formal announcement is made. However, the New York-based organization has indicated its intention to develop a global network of Spheres in what it terms “forward-looking cities,” a phrase used by Executive Chairman and CEO James Dolan during the Maryland project announcement.
Embracing the Nash Vegas Spirit
Nashville has actively shared its music culture with Las Vegas, establishing a strong presence on the Strip in recent years. Blake Shelton opened his sixth Ole Red in front of the Horseshoe in January 2024, while Jason Aldean launched his fourth Kitchen + Bar at CityCenter in December 2024. Additionally, Luke Combs is preparing to transform the former Margaritaville at Flamingo into his second Category 10 venue.
So why can’t this vibrant exchange be reciprocal?
Apart from the Maryland project, Sphere Entertainment is also constructing a full-size Sphere in Abu Dhabi as part of its global expansion efforts. However, plans for a full-scale Sphere in London were scrapped in 2024 due to local political opposition.
Additionally, there are discussions and a memorandum of understanding regarding a potential Sphere in Incheon, South Korea, but no formal project has been confirmed.
