Las Vegas is buzzing with excitement as the launch date for its most awaited dining establishment of 2026 has now been revealed. Maroon, a fresh culinary venture by acclaimed chef Kwame Onwuachi, is set to unveil its doors on April 24 at the Sahara, taking over the area previously occupied by José Andrés’ Bazaar Meat, which relocated to the Venetian last July.

Maroon is set to fuse traditional American steakhouse elements with the rich, vibrant flavors of Onwuachi’s Nigerian, Creole, and Afro-Caribbean heritage. A specialized live‑fire jerk pit will take center stage in the kitchen, where guests can savor steaks, seafood, and lively sides infused with Onwuachi’s unique spice blends.

Crafted by the New York architectural firm Modellus Novus, the establishment will feature a 125‑seat dining area, a bar and lounge, as well as private event spaces.

Born and raised in the Bronx, Onwuachi is also the owner of Tatiana in New York and Dōgon in Washington, D.C.

Introducing Category 10

Caesars Entertainment and Opry Entertainment Group have just unveiled new designs for the upcoming Luke Combs-inspired Category 10 eatery, bar, and honky-tonk. This impressive three-story, 34,000-square-foot venue is set to take over the previous Margaritaville space, located on the Flamingo’s Strip-facing area, with an anticipated opening in October.

Similar to Blake Shelton’s Ole Red and Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar, Category 10 will feature a ground-floor performance venue and a dance hall named Hurricane Hall (after Combs’ popular track “Hurricane”), along with a cozy lounge called The Still and a rooftop that will offer stunning views of the Strip with DJs and nightlife events.

This Las Vegas establishment will mark the second location for the Category 10 brand, following its flagship restaurant in Nashville, which laid the groundwork for both Ole Red and Jason Aldean’s venues that later expanded to the Strip.
