Atlanta-based rapper Offset was shot on Monday near the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood, shortly after he was photographed with fans. The 34-year-old, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood and is reported to be in stable condition.

The Seminole Regional Police released a statement indicating, “We are aware of an occurrence in a valet area at approximately 7 p.m. on Monday outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood that led to non-life-threatening injuries to one person… Officers were on the scene promptly, and the situation was effectively controlled.”

“The investigation is currently ongoing. The area is secure, and there is no threat to public safety. Normal operations continue,” they added.

Lil Tjay Exonerated

While the identity of the shooter remains unknown, police confirmed that two individuals were taken into custody at the scene. Social media clips purportedly showing the aftermath appear to depict officers restraining these two suspects, though this footage is yet to be independently authenticated.

Speculation surrounding Lil Tjay’s involvement, including rumors of him being shot, has been dismissed by his lawyer. The two rappers have had past conflicts.

This statement addresses the unfounded rumors linking Lil Tjay to the shooting at the valet area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood, which resulted in Offset receiving non-life-threatening injuries.

“Lil Tjay has neither been shot nor charged in any shooting incident. Any contrary reports are inaccurate.”

Offset’s Relationship with Cardi B

Offset is widely recognized for his contributions to the renowned hip-hop group Migos, as well as his seven-year marriage to Cardi B. The couple, who share three children, parted ways in 2024 amidst accusations of infidelity and are presently in the process of divorce.

The multi-platinum group Migos gained considerable fame in 2013 with their debut single, Versace. Their track from 2016, Bad and Boujee, reached the summit of the Billboard Hot 100.

Migos disbanded in early 2022, leading Offset to launch a solo career, while the remaining members, Quavo and Takeoff, continued as the duo Unc & Phew.

In November 2022, Takeoff was fatally shot during an altercation outside a bowling alley in Houston, prompting discussions about violence in the hip-hop community.
