Dollar for Dollar Initiative

The “At Par” initiative, running until August 31, maintains a one-to-one value for the Canadian dollar against the U.S. dollar, independent of daily exchange fluctuations, covering various gaming, lodging, beverage, and entertainment options.

This initiative has led to over 5,100 hotel room reservations and generated upwards of $10 million in slot machine play.

Canadians have always played a significant part in downtown Las Vegas, and we deeply appreciate their ongoing loyalty to our city,” stated Derek Stevens, owner and CEO of Circa, the D, and Golden Gate.

“The feedback on our At Par initiative has been phenomenal, and we are eager to create even more memorable experiences for our visitors from Canada.”

Visitors do not have to be hotel guests to participate in gaming, beverage, or entertainment offers; however, Canadian citizenship must be confirmed with a valid passport or government-issued identification.

Significant Decrease in Canadian Tourists

This news coincides with the release of the annual Las Vegas Visitation report by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, which highlighted a 4.8% decrease (from 4.99 million in 2024 to 4.72 million in 2025) in foreign visitors, primarily driven by a 17.4% reduction in Canadian travelers.

The LVCVA report also indicated an overall 8% drop in visitation for 2025. Nevertheless, the 4.72 million figure represents the second-highest total for foreign visitors since before the pandemic in 2019 (5.65 million).

In 2025, 1.19 million Canadians traveled to Las Vegas, down from 1.45 million in 2024.
