Formula 1 has secured its racing presence in Las Vegas through 2037 thanks to a newly signed 10-year extension involving Las Vegas Grand Prix, Inc., officials from Clark County, and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA).
This agreement solidifies the Las Vegas Grand Prix’s status in the international motorsport lineup, following its inaugural event in 2023.
The race is conducted on a 6.2-kilometer street circuit stretching along the Las Vegas Strip, showcasing thrilling speeds of over 322 kph while traversing iconic landmarks like Bellagio, Caesars Palace, Wynn Las Vegas, and The Venetian Resort.
Since its launch, the event has seamlessly integrated exceptional racing with expansive entertainment and hospitable experiences. The Las Vegas Grand Prix has garnered significant international attention, featuring prominently in global media outlets such as F1 The Movie, significantly enhancing its global appeal.
Max Verstappen has clinched victory twice (2023 and 2025), with George Russell triumphing in 2024. In 2024, the race recorded an impressive 113 overtakes, while Verstappen claimed his fourth consecutive World Drivers’ Championship that same year. Notably, Doriane Pin won the F1 ACADEMY title in 2025.

Having joined the F1 calendar in 2023, the event has led to an estimated cumulative economic impact of $3.2 billion for Southern Nevada. Each edition from 2023 to 2025 enjoyed sold-out crowds.
In 2025 alone, the race contributed $43 million in state and local tax revenue, with $15 million allocated to K–12 education. The Las Vegas Grand Prix Foundation has generously donated over $2 million to nonprofit organizations and educational initiatives for local students and community groups.
Grand Prix Plaza, a sprawling 39-acre multi-use complex and the largest Formula 1 attraction globally, remains pivotal as a community nexus and fan destination, simultaneously promoting STEM educational programs. Recently, the event and its facilities were honored at the 2026 Green Sports Alliance Summit for exceptional environmental leadership and strides toward a sustainable future.
Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula 1, expressed his enthusiasm for the extension, identifying Las Vegas as “a premier hub for thrilling racing,” alongside world-class entertainment, top-tier business leaders, celebrities, and influential figures.
“It has made a significant and enduring impact on the local economy and community,” he remarked. “We anticipated Las Vegas would evolve into a cornerstone of our presence in the U.S., and this extension, in conjunction with our recent successes, emphasizes our long-term dedication to this crucial market.”
Describing the agreement as a “transformative moment,” Emily Prazer, President and CEO of Las Vegas Grand Prix, Inc., highlighted the strength of local partnerships.
“Las Vegas stands out as a uniquely vibrant city, and its energy, hospitality, and magnitude have greatly influenced the evolution of this race. This long-term agreement empowers us to continue providing an extraordinary experience for our audience.”
Steve Hill, President and CEO of the LVCVA, stated that the extension further solidifies Las Vegas’ transformation into a worldwide sports and entertainment hub.
“Extending our alliance with Formula 1 for the next decade marks a pivotal moment for both Las Vegas and the Grand Prix,” he noted. “In just three years, this race has emerged as a hallmark global spectacle, placing Las Vegas at the forefront of culture, competition, and entertainment during race week.”
