A Las Vegas taxi driver has been charged with felonies after a woman reported waking up in his cab to find him touching her inappropriately, according to documents from a grand jury and an arrest report acquired by KLAS‑TV/Las Vegas.

A grand jury in Clark County indicted Keflome Solomon, 44, on charges of attempted sexual assault and open or gross lewdness on June 4, as per court records. Solomon, originally from Ethiopia and not a U.S. citizen, has operated as a lease driver for Western Cab Company since obtaining his taxicab permit in 2016.

The alleged incident occurred in the early hours of November 23, 2025, as the woman was returning to Paris Las Vegas from the Aria Resort & Casino. The victim stated she had consumed alcohol earlier that day but didn’t believe she was intoxicated during the ride.

According to surveillance footage from the cab, Solomon was seen “reaching behind the rear passenger side of the seat” while repeatedly glancing toward the back seat, where the woman was resting. Moments later, she reported waking up to Solomon “touching her vaginal area.”

‘What Are You Doing?’

Upon confronting him with questions like “What are you doing?” and “Did you touch me?” Solomon allegedly responded that he was trying to grab her phone charger. The woman told law enforcement she grabbed Solomon by the collar and struck him. As the cab slowed at a traffic light, she exited the vehicle.

The woman, visiting Las Vegas from Texas with her family, promptly contacted the police after the incident.

Solomon was arrested three days later. Initially, Judge Suzan Baucum set bail at $4,000 during a November 26 hearing in Las Vegas Justice Court. However, after the case was referred to District Court, Chief Judge Jerry Wiese increased the bail to $100,000 and mandated high-level electronic monitoring due to concerns about Solomon potentially fleeing given his immigration status.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) stated to KLAS that they currently have “no involvement with this individual.”

Solomon’s court appearance is scheduled for later this month.
