Casino Del Sol, Vahi Taaʼam, the third gaming venture of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe, is slated to launch on November 15, 2026, located at 1055 W. Grant Road, right off Interstate 10 in Tucson, Arizona.

This expansive 163,000-square-foot establishment will operate as Casino Del Sol, with ownership and management by the Pascua Yaqui Tribe. The development aligns with the tribe’s ongoing commitment to economic independence, preserving cultural identity, and investing in the local community in Southern Arizona.

Situated on Old Pascua Community land, the name Vahi Taaʼam, pronounced vah-hee tah-ahm, translates to “Three Suns” in Yoeme, the language of the Pascua Yaqui people. This name symbolizes light and a promising future for the community, the tribe, and its visitors.

A striking 26-foot copper dome will crown the property, visible from Interstate 10. This architectural feature not only represents the sun rising over the desert but also pays homage to Arizona’s copper legacy.

Inside the facility, design elements will include vaulted ceilings, intricately patterned terrazzo flooring, wooden accents, archways, and rugged ironwork. A 24,000-square-foot mural by Tucson artist Joe Pagac will adorn the dome ceiling, showcasing an Arizona desert landscape with dynamic lighting that transitions from midday brightness to the warm amber of a Sonoran sunset.

Casino Del Sol aims for the design to reflect the natural beauty of the Sonoran Desert while celebrating the heritage of the Pascua Yaqui people. This project is also anticipated to create nearly 500 job opportunities.
