Kalshi, a prediction market platform, is investing heavily in celebrity endorsements, with Timothée Chalamet as their latest star attraction.

Chalamet’s popularity seems unmatched, especially after his acclaimed role in the 2025 film “Marty Supreme,” which earned him nominations for Best Actor and Best Picture.

His star power has further increased due to his well-publicized relationship with Kylie Jenner. The couple’s appearance at games during the New York Knicks’ championship journey has led some to express weariness regarding Chalamet’s frequent public appearances.

However, his latest endeavor starring in an unconventional series of ads for Kalshi has amplified this fatigue. Kalshi reportedly invested millions to secure Chalamet’s participation in this campaign, which has confused audiences more than it has informed them.

In one of the amusing clips, Chalamet can be seen mentioning “Kalshi” repeatedly during a dental procedure. Another clip features him performing squats while leaping to hit his head on the ceiling of his apartment to loud music. In the third video, he plays a keyboard alongside another individual in a music store.

All three videos prominently display the Kalshi logo at the end.

Critique of Chalamet’s Campaign

Chalamet faces backlash for endorsing a controversial trading platform, which critics argue resembles an online casino more than a legitimate financial exchange. However, advertising specialists note that the ads have succeeded in generating buzz.

“The new Kalshi ads with Timothée Chalamet aren’t designed to convince; instead, they aim to spark curiosity,” noted Tim Nudd in Ad Age, a leading marketing and media outlet. “The approach is unconventional, focusing less on product attributes and more on quirky narratives to engage the audience.”

While the campaign is attracting attention, the chatter may not be entirely positive. Following Chalamet’s promotion of the Kalshi ads on his social media, some fans have expressed their displeasure.

“Dude, take this down. You’re making it hard to enjoy your career with these pointless endorsements for something quite distasteful,” commented one user.

“You speak up against Trump or various crises, but promote this betting platform? Really?” another user remarked.

“A massive sellout,” concluded another critic.

“This feels like a massive cash grab. You are already wealthy and famous,” said yet another.

Chalamet’s Kalshi ads have gone viral on platforms like X, Instagram, and Reddit, garnering a multitude of negative reactions that far surpass any positive feedback.

Chalamet’s Betting Odds

Kalshi offers various trading markets related to Chalamet.

Current contracts include queries on whether he and Jenner will get engaged this year (with shares trading at 31 cents), if he will be named People’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2026 (Yes at 6 cents), and whether he will rank among the top five searched individuals on Google this year (Yes at 19 cents).
