Mohegan Sun announced a staggering $47,525,475.25 (approximately $47.5 million) in slot revenue for May, triggering a direct remittance of $11,881,368.81 (around $11.8 million) to the Connecticut state treasury.
This disbursement was executed in line with the Mohegan Tribe’s enduring gaming revenue sharing agreement with the state.
The recent monthly revenue report coincides with Mohegan Sun’s enhancements to its casino offerings, notably the debut of IGT’s innovative Wheel of Fortune Cash on Reels slot machine, a multi-level progressive game housed on the supplier’s RISE55 cabinet.
In celebration of the game’s launch, IGT and Mohegan Sun hosted a player event on May 28 at the Casino of the Sky. This event welcomed 200 members from Mohegan Sun’s Momentum loyalty program and included complimentary spins on the new game, prize giveaways, appearances by popular slot influencers, and a variety of other fun activities.
In addition, Mohegan recently bolstered its executive leadership team by appointing Joe Lobe as Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer & General Counsel, and Kelly Sullivan as Senior Vice President & Chief People Officer.
In his new capacity, Lobe will guide Mohegan’s global legal, compliance, and risk management operations, while also acting as a strategic advisor to the CEO and the Executive Leadership Team.
