Country music sensation Bailey Zimmerman is now working to mitigate the fallout after inflicting approximately $16,000 worth of damages to a hotel room at a tribal casino in May.

With a warrant for his arrest on the horizon, after Sandia Resort & Casino reported difficulties in contacting him, Zimmerman made a public apology regarding the incident that overshadowed his anticipated performance at the casino.
“First and foremost, I wish to apologize to the Pueblo of Sandia and everyone at Sandia Resort & Casino. I hold immense respect for your community and gratitude for the kindness extended to me while performing on your land,” Zimmerman stated.
“It was never my intention for these events to seem disrespectful. I sincerely regret my actions, and I take full responsibility for everything that unfolded, and I apologize to anyone who feels wronged by my behavior,” he expressed further.
Bailey’s Reckoning
As previously reported by Casino.org, Zimmerman arrived for his sound check at the 4,000-seat Sandia Amphitheater on May 27 inebriated. Witnesses noted his stumbling, and he reportedly fell during the session, demonstrating erratic behavior according to venue staff.
Reports indicate that Bailey reacted aggressively towards casino security when the wrong vehicle arrived to transport him back to his hotel before the show. Ultimately, his team decided to cancel the performance due to his intoxicated state.
Upon discovery the next morning, housekeeping found the suite in disarray, with visible damage to the walls, stains on the carpet, and destruction to furniture and electronics. Bailey left without settling a $400 tab for alcohol.
The Bernalillo County District Attorney’s office confirmed that Zimmerman has accepted responsibility for his actions and has agreed to reimburse the tribal casino for the damages, leading to the dismissal of felony and misdemeanor charges.
Impact on Fans
Zimmerman acknowledges that his behavior negatively impacted the countless fans who purchased tickets for his show at the Sandia Resort & Casino and made travel arrangements to Albuquerque. Along with his New Mexico concert cancellation, Zimmerman also called off a performance scheduled for May 30 at the Graton Resort & Casino in California.
“To my fans who invested in tickets and anticipated my performance, I sincerely apologize. You deserved more from me. I recognize that being an artist comes with significant responsibilities, both on and off the stage. I realize I fell short that day and am reflecting on the disappointment I caused,” Zimmerman conveyed.
“I am dedicated to doing the necessary work to learn and evolve. I appreciate my fans for holding me accountable and understanding that I am merely human. Your ongoing support means the world to me,” he concluded.
There has been no announcement regarding whether Sandia will consider giving Zimmerman another opportunity to perform. Refunds have been issued for the canceled May 27 show.
