Caesars Entertainment has broadened its collaboration with three Wabanaki Nations in Maine, setting the stage for a potential online casino launch in 2026, contingent on regulatory approval.
As part of the agreement, Caesars will collaborate with the Houlton Band of Maliseet Indians, Mi’kmaq Nation, and Penobscot Nation to introduce three online casino brands in Maine: Caesars Palace Online Casino, Caesars Sportsbook & Casino, and Horseshoe Online Casino.
This expansion follows the successful launch of Caesars Sportsbook in Maine in 2023 and comes after recent legislation empowered Wabanaki Nations to manage online gambling operations.
The forthcoming online casino platforms are set to feature slot games, table games, and live dealer options, seamlessly integrating with Caesars’ existing sportsbook through a unified login and wallet system powered by the Universal Digital Wallet.
Players will have the opportunity to earn and redeem rewards through the Caesars Rewards loyalty program.

Chief Kirk Francis of the Penobscot Nation highlighted that the partnership has already brought noticeable advantages through sports wagering.
“Our collaboration in sports wagering has showcased the benefits of aligning with a partner who values our sovereignty, comprehends our communities, and is dedicated to ensuring long-term prosperity for the Wabanaki Nations,” remarked Francis.
Chief Sheila McCormack of the Mi’kmaq Nation expressed: “Diving into online casino gaming enables us to keep generating economic opportunities for our people, with a strong emphasis on developing any future platform responsibly and in a well-regulated manner that serves both the tribes and the state.”
Chief Clarissa Sabattis of the Houlton Band of Maliseet Indians added that “Internet gaming revenues will secure a more stable, long-term revenue stream for our tribal government, facilitating essential services and critical infrastructure investments.”
