Ocean Casino Resort is aligning with Philadelphia Eagles enthusiasm ahead of the 2026 NFL season, partnering with lineman Cam Jurgens to release a special-edition beef jerky available at the Boardwalk property.
Jurgens, the center for the Eagles, launched Jurgy, his beef jerky brand, in 2021. The company was introduced as a name, image, and likeness (NIL) venture while Jurgens was still a college player with the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Made exclusively with beef, Jurgy presents five main flavors: Original, Hot Honey, Cracked Pepper, Mango Habanero, and Teriyaki. And for this upcoming football season, Jurgy is collaborating with Ocean to introduce a limited-edition Blueberry BBQ flavor.
“Created from the essence of a summer backyard barbecue, with smoke wafting from the grill and freshly picked Jersey blueberries on the table,” Jurgy described its unique flavor.
Ocean Casino is hosting a social media campaign related to the partnership on Instagram. Participants who like the post, follow both the resort and Jurgy, and tag a friend enter a draw to win an eight-pack case of the Blueberry BBQ jerky and a complimentary overnight stay at the Atlantic City casino.
Atlantic City Embraces Philadelphia
Historically, Atlantic City has been a preferred destination for Philadelphians. The casino town was predominantly developed by Philadelphians as a beachfront resort, with the railroad aiding in the early tourism boom of the area. Presently, the two cities are only around an hour apart by car.
While Pennsylvania now boasts numerous casinos, eliminating the need for residents to travel to the Jersey Shore to gamble, Atlantic City maintains a geographical and economic connection to Philadelphia. The shore casinos continue to target Philadelphians as part of their marketing strategy.
In the past, Ocean Casino Resort collaborated with Jason Kelce on an exclusive hot sauce with Sea Isle City-based Hank Sauce. Kelce, a former Eagles center, is an investor and creative partner in Hank Sauce.
The upscale Boardwalk casino is joining forces with Jurgy to promote beef jerky. The recipient of the Blueberry BBQ package will get the opportunity to meet the Eagles star during their visit to Atlantic City.

New Jersey Blueberries
The addition of blueberries in the Blueberry BBQ Jurgy flavor is a nod to New Jersey’s agricultural heritage. The state was where the first cultivated blueberries originated and is home to Hammonton, known as the Blueberry Capital of the World.
Although New Jersey remains a significant US producer of blueberries, Washington, Oregon, and Georgia are currently the primary cultivators.
