New Jersey’s online gaming revenue increased by 4.4% year-on-year to reach $259.3 million in August. Data released by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) on September 16 revealed that casino win at the state’s nine Atlantic City casino hotels decreased by 5.5% to $294.9 million.
The August figure was down by 6.4% from a record $276.9 million in July but marked the 11th consecutive month where online casino revenue surpassed $250 million.
Internet gaming win saw a 13.2% increase to $2.13 billion in the first eight months of the year, up from $1.88 billion in the same period of 2025. This sector generated $57.7 million in taxes in August and a total of $473.4 million year-to-date.
Compared to this, Atlantic City’s nine casino hotels reported $294.9 million in casino win in August, a 5.5% decrease from $311.9 million the previous year. Despite this, casino win increased by 1.8% year-to-date to $2.01 billion.
Sports wagering gross revenue dropped by 25% to $61.4 million from $81.9 million in August 2025. The decline was primarily attributed to a later start to the fall sports calendar for certain sports like college football, resulting in a lower overall win percentage.
Sports wagering revenue experienced a 5.3% decrease year-to-date to $671.4 million.
Total gaming revenue for New Jersey casinos, racetracks, and their partners declined by 4.1% in August to $615.7 million. However, over the first eight months of the year, total gaming revenue rose by 5.4% to $4.81 billion from $4.57 billion.
Total gross revenue taxes amounted to $81.5 million in August and $674.2 million through August.
FanDuel Casino maintained its position as the top online casino operator in August with $56.7 million in revenue, a 0.7% decrease from the previous year.
DraftKings ranked second with $43.5 million, a 7.5% decrease, while BetMGM secured the third spot with $35.1 million, an increase of 7.8%.
Fanatics emerged as one of the fastest-growing established operators. Its revenue in August surged by 30.7% to $13.1 million, and year-to-date revenue more than doubled to $106.4 million, representing a 100.6% increase from the same period last year.
Golden Nugget’s online casino revenue grew by 28.8% to $11.3 million, while BetRivers saw a 28.1% increase to $10.7 million.
Bet365 revenue rose by 46.6% to $3.4 million and Resorts Casino revenue increased by 47.6% to $2.6 million.
Newer Caesars-affiliated brands also reported revenue in August, with Betinia at $1.1 million, Vegas Club Casino at $875,415, and Ember Casino at $591,981.
