Mohegan Sun is celebrating its 30th anniversary next month, and to mark the occasion, the tribal casino owned by the Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut is hosting a star-studded event featuring some of the resort’s most famous friends.
Highlighted by a performance from 50 Cent on October 10, the event will take place at the Uncas Ballroom. Limited tickets, starting at $200+, can be purchased through Ticketmaster.
Guests can expect appearances from DJ Cassidy, reality star Kyle Cooke from “Summer House,” and “Real Housewives” stars Teresa Giudice, Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, and Kelsey Swanson at the celebration.
The birthday bash will have an “elegant Art Deco theme” with a lively dance floor at the Uncas Ballroom located in the Sky Convention Center.
Celebrating Tribal Anniversaries
Mohegan Sun, operated by the Mohegan Tribe, joins the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation in Connecticut in celebrating its 30th anniversary. Foxwoods Resort Casino, owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, marked its 30th anniversary in 2022.
Both casinos entered the gambling industry after the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act was signed into law in 1988. Foxwoods, which began as a bingo hall in 1986, has since expanded. Mohegan Sun opened in 1996 with slots and table games.
Mohegan Sun’s actual birthday is on October 12, with a weekend full of entertainment leading up to the celebration.
Various artists, including Alanis Morissette, Foo Fighters, John Mayer, and Lainey Wilson, are set to perform at Mohegan Sun Arena during the anniversary weekend. DJ Cassidy will host a hip-hop concert featuring Busta Rhymes, Fat Joe, Ja Rule, Jadakiss, and Nelly on October 11.

Mohegan Sun includes two casinos, Casino of the Earth and Casino of the Sky, offering a wide range of gaming options such as slot machines, live dealer table games, a poker room, a sportsbook, and a race book.
During the anniversary celebration, Mohegan Sun’s FanDuel Sportsbook will run gaming promotions including a free pick’em contest, a no-limit hold’em tournament, and a slot tournament with cash prizes.
