The Taxicab Authority Board has approved a pilot program that will add a temporary surcharge of $15 to trips between Harry Reid International Airport and three resort corridor locations. The new fares are as follows: cab rides from the airport to locations north of Sunset Road to Tropicana Avenue will cost $37, to locations north of Tropicana to Flamingo Road will cost $4, and to locations north of Flamingo to the Strat will cost $45. The surcharge will automatically be added to the existing meter charges of the taxi drivers. This temporary increase in fares will be effective from noon Wednesday, Nov. 15 through noon Tuesday, Nov. 21.
