The late actor Matthew Perry was the topic of conversation on Saturday, including among Las Vegas’ most successful resident singers.
Adele, although she never met Perry, dedicated her song “When We Were Young” to him during her Las Vegas show. She also praised his character Chandler Bing, referring to him as “probably the best comedic character of all time.”
While dressed as Morticia Adams for Halloween, Adele expressed her lifelong admiration for Chandler Bing and the impact his character had on her. The audience at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace responded with cheers.

Adele shared that a friend named Andrew had a spot-on Chandler impression and used to make her laugh with it. She considers Chandler a symbol of comfort and humor.
Matthew Perry passed away on Saturday at the age of 54. The cause of death is believed to be cardiac arrest, although the details have not been disclosed.
Adele highlighted Perry’s bravery in openly discussing his struggles with addiction and sobriety. The singer, who made the decision to stop drinking earlier this year, commended Perry for sharing his story and bringing awareness to these issues.
In his memoir titled “Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing,” Perry extensively wrote about his battles with alcohol and opioid addiction. At one point, he almost lost his life due to a burst colon caused by opioid use, leading to several months of hospitalization and continued recovery with a colostomy bag.
Adele expressed her shock and sorrow over Perry’s passing and engaged with her audience, inviting them to share their memories of the beloved actor.
