On Wednesday, Air France officially confirmed its direct flights from Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport to Harry Reid International Airport, commencing on April 15, 2026.

The airline will operate direct flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.

Departures from Paris will be at 1:40 PM local time, with arrivals at Harry Reid International Airport approximately at 3:35 PM PST. Flights from Las Vegas will leave at 5:50 PM and arrive back in Paris the next day at 1:05 PM. All flights will be operated using Airbus A350-900 aircraft, which can accommodate either 292 or 324 passengers, depending on the seating configuration.

This new route to Las Vegas becomes Air France’s 19th destination in the U.S., with plans for the direct service to continue at least until October 2026.

The Paris Las Vegas resort, a Caesars Entertainment property located on the Las Vegas Strip, features a half-scale replica of the Eiffel Tower, alongside iconic models of the Arc de Triomphe and the Paris Opera House.

Local Authorities Celebrate Air France’s Arrival

As per data from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) and Harry Reid International, tourism to the “Entertainment Capital of the World” is still low. While some casino leaders claim that reports of an economic downturn are exaggerated, the statistics reflect a decline in visitor numbers.

As of August, the LVCVA indicated that Las Vegas’s visitor volume has decreased by nearly 8%, translating to a shortfall of around 2.18 million visitors. At Harry Reid International Airport, both arriving and departing passengers accounted for 37 million travelers until August, a 4.5% drop compared to the previous year, resulting in approximately 1.76 million fewer ticketed customers.

Domestic air travel has decreased significantly, down 4.8% compared to the same timeframe in 2024. Even international trips have dropped by 2%.

“Connecting Las Vegas to Paris is a crucial development in enhancing our global accessibility,” stated Steve Hill, President and CEO of LVCVA. “This new flight route facilitates travel for both French visitors and those from across Europe, highlighting the universal appeal of our world-renowned destinations.”

James Chrisley, Director of Aviation for Clark County, referred to Air France’s new service as a “game-changing opportunity.”

“This opens an exciting new corridor to the European market,” Chrisley remarked.

Are Parisians Keen on Gambling?

LVCVA estimates indicate that France contributed only around 86,400 visitors last year. Though this was a 12.5% increase from 2023, it still fell short of the nearly 99,600 French tourists who traveled to Las Vegas in the pre-pandemic period of 2019.

The French are indeed fond of gambling, boasting a rich heritage in gaming. The nation is home to numerous iconic casinos, including the esteemed Casino Barrière Deauville. Additionally, while technically not part of France, the Monte Carlo casino in Monaco is closely associated with French culture.

Regarded as one of the world’s most legendary casinos, the Monte Carlo stands out prominently in the gambling landscape.
