The Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis (AGLC) reports that there are currently 35 igaming operators registered to enter the market when it opens on July 13.

Overview of Alberta’s iGaming Regulation
The AGLC will oversee registration, compliance, standards, monitoring, and enforcement for both operators and suppliers in the province.
The Alberta iGaming Corporation (AiGC) is the designated entity responsible for conducting and managing the operations.
The 35 operators listed have successfully gone through the registration phase and have paid their initial fees to AGLC. Each operator must pay a one-time application charge of $50,000, along with an annual fee of $150,000 per site.
Caesars Opens Registration
These operators still need to complete the two-step process with AiGC.
Private companies will be in competition with Play Alberta, the government-operated platform. The revenue distribution model for Alberta allocates 80% to operators and 20% to the province, after reserving 3% for First Nations and social responsibility initiatives.
Recently, Caesars Entertainment announced that residents aged 21 and older in Alberta can now download and register for their platforms: Caesars Palace Online Casino, Caesars Sportsbook & Casino, and Horseshoe Online Casino.
Delta Enters the Alberta Market
On May 28, Delta iGaming confirmed its registration with AGLC, marking the digital expansion of the Delta Bingo & Gaming brand, which has been established for over 60 years.
“We are excited to introduce the Delta Casino experience to players in Alberta,” stated Jason Karklins, Vice President of iGaming at Delta Casino.
