Promoting Responsible Gambling

The two NHL stars will help promote AGLC’s social responsibility initiatives, including GameSense and Self-Exclusion.

Both athletes will feature in promotional campaigns designed to educate players about the various tools and resources at their disposal to manage their gambling behavior, such as setting limits on bets, losses, deposits, taking voluntary breaks from gambling, and utilizing Reality Checks.

Additionally, the collaboration will include unique opportunities for sports enthusiasts to meet the players during the upcoming season.

Draisaitl Emerges as MVP Contender

“Bringing on these two top-tier athlete ambassadors will enhance the connection between Alberta sports fans and our local teams, showcasing the remarkable talents our province has to offer,” stated Dan Keene, Vice President of Gaming at AGLC. Leon and Dustin embody the competitive spirit of Alberta and provide Play Alberta with an invaluable platform to remind adult Albertans about responsible gambling features and the key sports matchups in the calendar.”

Play Alberta stands as the sole legal platform in the province for sports betting and online casino gaming, currently boasting over 434,000 registered accounts.

Exploring Deposit Limits

In terms of NHL MVP odds, BetMGM places Draisaitl at +1000. His teammate Connor McDavid leads the odds at +190, followed by Nathan MacKinnon from the Avalanche at +475, Kirill Kaprizov of the Wild at +800, and Nikita Kucherov of the Lightning at +1000.

“I look forward to deepening my community ties through my partnership with Play Alberta. It’s exciting to collaborate with a local brand that emphasizes responsible gambling while offering enriching fan engagement opportunities—like meet and greets and other exciting events,” Draisaitl shared in a statement.
