Casino Custodian Caught Stealing Misplaced $10K
A custodian at a gaming establishment in Missouri is facing legal action after allegedly taking a lost bundle of $100 bills, as per recent reports.
Instead of reporting the $10K to security at Hollywood Casino St. Louis, the custodian pocketed the money and concealed it under a towel.
However, the individual who lost the money promptly informed casino security that the cash had fallen out of his pocket on that particular day in July.
Security personnel reviewed surveillance footage and observed how the custodian, Joshua Turner, while cleaning near the elevators, noticed the money, placed it on his cleaning cart.
Later on, security officers found Turner asleep in a restaurant within the casino premises. He admitted to taking the money but claimed that finding it was a stroke of luck. He was subsequently arrested for theft, according to police.
When authorities inspected the cleaning cart, they found that the money was still covered by the towel.
