Authorities in Massachusetts are requesting assistance from the public to apprehend a suspect involved in an incident where a state trooper was hit while fleeing from Encore Boston Harbor.

Situated across the Mystic River from Boston in Everett, Massachusetts State Police promptly responded to a call regarding a person with a weapon inside the resort operated by Wynn Resorts early Friday morning. When casino security approached the individual, they reportedly fled, prompting state troopers stationed at the casino to pursue.

The suspect managed to reach their vehicle and left the scene at a high speed, striking a state trooper with the vehicle’s side mirror as they exited the casino grounds.

The troopers involved in this incident are part of the state’s Gaming Enforcement Unit (GEU). This unit collaborates with the Massachusetts Gaming Commission’s Investigations and Enforcement Bureau to investigate potential criminal activities at Encore Boston Harbor, MGM Springfield, and Plainridge Park Casino.
