In an Instagram post, the acclaimed Las Vegas performer shared, “The doctors are optimistic that it hasn’t metastasized, and I am undergoing tests to validate their findings.” He noted that the spot was detected following a six-week battle with bronchitis, during which he suffered a five-week relapse.

“It’s merely fortunate (and thanks to an excellent physician) that it was caught at such an early stage,” he added.

Having accepted a “lifetime residency contract” from the Westgate in December 2024, Manilow was compelled to reschedule nine January performances that were meant to mark the continuation of his “The Last Concerts” tour in Florida, Georgia, Ohio, and the Carolinas. These shows have now been postponed to February, March, and April 2026.

“I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause in rearranging your plans,” he stated. “Like you, we were excited about the January concerts and regret having to alter everything.”

Despite the pending test results, Manilow is determined to resume his residency at Westgate Las Vegas during Valentine’s Day weekend as planned.

“I’m eagerly counting down the days,” he expressed. Regarding his recovery, he humorously remarked: “No chemotherapy. No radiation. Just chicken soup and ‘I Love Lucy’ reruns.”

Manilow originally performed at the Westgate in January 1988, back when it was known as the Las Vegas Hilton. His inaugural residency there began in December 2009, followed by a brief stint at Paris Las Vegas from 2010 to 2012, before returning to Westgate to kick off his current residency, “The Hits Come Home,” in 2018.

Cami Christensen, president and GM of Westgate, expressed in a statement that the staff is “sending love and well wishes.”

“We are all keeping him in our thoughts and wish him a swift recovery,” she added.
